The NES is the system that really started it all. With just the right capabilities, it was home to dozens of unique games that live on today.
PicoNES makes it possible to play legal backups of your favorite games. Or discover a variety of new homebrew titles that have been released for the platform.
With PicoNES Web you can play your games right in the browser, without anything to install. There are some limitations to the web version, however:
Whether you want to take your games on the go, or want to listen to your favorite classic audio, there are options for upgrading. PicoNES is also available for mobile, and adds:

There are two main ways people get games. They can dump the contents of a cartridge they own, or they can look for homebrew games that are offered digitally.
Dumping a cartridge rom can be quite complicated, so we'll leave that to Google. Fortunately finding homebrew roms is quite easy. On almost any site where you can find indie games, you can also find homebrew for classic systems. We happen to like itch.io. If you search for "nes", you'll find a variety of games, some completely free or some with a free demo available.
